What it Means to be NADCA Certified
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) continuously develops and researches the HVAC hygiene industry resulting in the production of industry wide standards. These standards are set forth to protect the consumer.
To become a certified member of the NADCA, a company must have at least one Air System Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) on staff and must adhere to NADCA standards.
For an individual to earn the ASCS distinction, a proctored exam must be passed. To remain an ASCS, the certified individual must earn 6 Continuing Education Credits (CEC’s) each year. Thus, the individual is staying abreast of new equipment, technology, and the most cutting-edge cleaning procedures.

Air Duct Maintenance has been a member of NADCA for over 20 years. We have multiple ASCS certified members on staff, and our President, Dan L’Herbier, holds the highest NADCA certification, which is the Certified Ventilation Inspector (CVI) certification. In 2025, our President, Dan L’Herbier, was voted onto the NADCA board of directors and currently holds a seat. In addition, Dan L’Herbier, and our Vice President, Lauren Konno, are both heavily involved in NADCA, holding seats on multiple different committees and having the honor of speaking at multiple NADCA conferences. We believe in our industry, and that air duct cleaning truly does make a powerful impact on our indoor living environment.
